What we collect
When you use Plucko, we may collect:
- Your name and avatar, so hosts and other guests know who's coming
- Your email address, used to sign you in (with Google or a one-time email code) so you can claim a dish or edit your details
- Dietary restrictions and allergy notes you choose to add, so hosts can plan food everyone can enjoy
- The dishes you claim and any notes or comments you leave on an event
- Basic device and usage data, through privacy-friendly analytics
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Run your events: show who's attending, what they're bringing, and what to avoid
- Let hosts create and manage their event pages
- Keep you signed in across visits
- Understand how Plucko is used so we can keep making it better
How we store your data
Your information is stored securely using:
- Sanity.io, our content platform, where events, dishes, and accounts live
- Vercel, our hosting platform for the website
- NextAuth, for secure authentication and session management
All data is transmitted securely over HTTPS.
Who we share your data with
We don't sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing. Your data is only shared with:
- Event hosts and guests, who can see your name, dietary notes, and what you're bringing for events you join
- Service providers like Sanity and Vercel, strictly as part of running Plucko, under their own privacy agreements
Analytics & cookies
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how people use the site. It's privacy-friendly: it doesn't use tracking cookies or collect personal information. We use functional cookies only to keep you signed in and remember your session, never for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of your personal data
- Correct: update your information if it's inaccurate
- Export: request your data in a portable format
- Opt out: unsubscribe from email notifications at any time
